Christmas Edition 2022

Here we go again, folks. Round and round, we go, and where we stop, nobody knows. Is this the best thing since sliced bread, or what? One thing is for sure. The year 2022 is soon to be in the history books. Since the leftists will be writing the history books, expect nothing short of rainbows and unicorns. Joe Biden will go down in the history books as one of the most successful presidents in the history of America. It's all hogwash, of course, but those of us who know better will be consigned to the trash heap of history. We'll be buried in the avalanche of illegal aliens who are waiting in the tens of thousands just across our southern border waiting for the official lifting of Title 42 by the Biden Administration this coming Tuesday.

Image

By some estimates, we can expect to see some eight thousand illegal aliens crossing into our country each and every day once Title 42 is lifted. As Joe Biden so eloquently puts it, "their voices should be heard." Who else agrees with that sentiment besides no one? Well, the Democrat party may be an exception, since padding the voter rolls by the millions in states like Texas will most certainly turn that state's electorate from red to blue. If they can turn Texas blue, Republicans will never again have the electoral votes they need to win the presidency. You can count the number of republicans pushing back against Biden's "immigration" policies on one hand, so that doesn't bode well for the future of our republic.

I heard one guy talking about illegal aliens going into our inner cities and pulling white people out of their homes in order to house their own families. Now, it's all starting to make sense. This is why George Soros has spent so much money on getting leftist district attorneys elected into positions of power in our largest cities coast to coast. The lot of them have one thing in common: they are decriminalizing everything under the sun. That essentially paves the way for a lawless society where mob rule is the standard by which its citizens operate. When you put that kind of power in the hands of people who don't speak our language, don't share our cultural values, likely have criminal histories, and have neither the means nor the opportunity to feed themselves or their families without resorting to violence, it just never ends well for the citizenry.

I'm reading this morning about the newly elected mayor of Los Angeles, a leftist in her own right, taking the homeless off the streets and putting them up in hotels and motels. Taking people off the streets is a good thing, but I don't think commandeering the city's hotels and motels to house them is a good idea. When a government steps in and essentially nationalizes private businesses to support its leftist goals, is anyone safe anymore from the reaches of government? The decriminalization of laws on the books has created a tsunami of theft-related crimes in blue cities such that businesses can no longer afford to keep their stores open. Those stores that remain behind now have the very basics like toothpaste and deodorant placed behind locked mesh doors and out of the reach of those who would pilfer the items given half a chance.

Keep in mind that the very same politicians who want to flood your cities and towns with illegal aliens also want to take away your right to own firearms. They don't want you to be able to defend yourself when the illegal aliens come knocking in the middle of the night. Are we about to suffer the same fate as South Africa, where the people of color, marginalized as they were by so-called racist policies of white politicians, rose up against the elite and confiscated everything of value that they could lay their hands on including their homes, their farms, and their means of production? I don't know enough about other shitholes across our planet and how they might compare to the nightmare that Joe Biden and his minions are implementing, but they are likely just as bad, if not worse. Tell me again, who these eighty million people are who voted for this fool, Biden?

I turned on this show last night entitled, "Died Suddenly." I figured it was a show detailing the multitudes of people who have died after getting their Covid jabs. Who doesn't want to know more about the stories that we're reading every day about young people keeling over in the middle of some innocuous activity? This all started after the Covid vaccinations began back in 2021. Pfizer and other vaccine producers admitted nothing, yet the relationship between the vaccine and the sudden deaths seemed painfully obvious to anyone paying attention. The show told the story from the point of view of the professionals doing the autopsies. More specifically, the people conducting the embalming procedure. They were pulling blood clots out of the bodies of these dead people that resembled a scaled-down version of a branch of ginger root. I was watching with the missus, and she was transfixed. She only agreed to change the channel when I assured her that we'd watch the rest of the show the following night.

I told the missus while we were watching that she would thank me someday for not pushing the Ev man to get this vaccine. I wish that we hadn't gotten the vaccine, but I couldn't get the missus to leave the house back in the day, so I held her hand, and off we went to the local injection site together, where we waited in the queue until it was our turn. Remember how they had you drive off to the side, where they asked that you wait five minutes before driving off the lot? There was also some stuff in the show about population control and how they needed to cull the population due to a scarcity of resources worldwide. Wait one darn minute. I thought Covid came out of a lab in Wuhan where they were experimenting with bio-weapons. Was this show we were watching an effort by someone to redirect our attention away from the Chinese Communist Party's nefarious undertakings? One thing is for certain. After watching this show, I think I speak for both the missus and myself when I say that we're not getting any more injections. No siree fucking Bob. You can take that to the bank.

I'll be darned. Mrs. G called with the good news. Mr. Willy is welcome to visit Mrs. G and her extended family at her facility for the Christmas holiday despite the fact that he is not vaccinated. This was precisely the case that we were making with Mrs. G just last week. That is to say, he is probably better protected than the rest of us since he had Covid recently and now presumably has a robust lot of antibodies with which to fight further infections. And, of course, he can't transmit the virus if he's not prone to getting infected. I'm not sure if Mrs. G made that precise case since I wasn't there to hear the arguments but whatever she said worked, so that's great. Mr. Willy is part of the extended family, so he should be there to celebrate, and he shouldn't be consigned to the sidelines based on his vaccination status. They agreed to Mrs. G's request on one condition. That is that Mr. Willy should not go outside Mrs. G's unit at any time during his visitation. Fine.

I stopped by a bagel joint the other day in a nearby town when I was in Exeter to visit the Ev man. I ordered six bagels and two donuts. The bill came to $30.40. I couldn't believe my ears. I looked at the sale on the register and noticed that they charged me $3.50 per bagel. I've never paid $3.50 for a bagel in my life. What kind of bagel fetches such an exorbitant price? Were they lathered up with cream cheese? No. Were they toasted and filled with melted cheese and eggs? Certainly not. Were they any different from the bagels that I might buy by the dozen at a local supermarket for half the price? Not on your life. I looked at the register in shock and then told the clerk that I couldn't bring myself to pay $3.50 a bagel. I may have said something about never paying that much for a bagel in my entire life, but I can't be sure as I sit here thinking about what I may have said or not said a day or two ago. Maybe this is that inflation thing everyone has been talking about. I honestly don't know how these guys stay in business. Maybe they don't.

That grifter in a tracksuit, Zelensky, is coming to Washington tomorrow. He and Bumbles will be sitting down to croissants and coffee before Zelensky goes on to give a speech to Congress about needing more money to fight the Russians. Congress has already given Ukraine north of $100 billion, and there's another $44 billion in the budget for 2023. He's getting hard-earned tax dollars from hard-working Americans who can barely afford to feed their families while Mrs. Zelensky goes shopping on the fashionable and hoity-toity Fifth Avenue in New York City for the latest designer dresses. Can you imagine a more bizarre juxtaposition? She's shopping and spending money like she's a member of the Biden Crime Family, while Ukraine's citizens go without electricity, heat, and food amidst the erratic and destructive bombing campaigns launched by the Russians. To have that whore of a dictator in our nation's capital, and he is a dictator if you know anything about how he rules Ukraine, is a national disgrace. Yet, he will be endlessly lauded and given a hero's welcome by our spineless politicians in the cesspool that is Washington. Our damn Founders must be turning over in their graves.

How is what we're doing in Ukraine not fighting a proxy war against Russia? What has Russia ever done that warrants dragging our country into the morass that is the Ukraine war? Ukraine isn't a member of NATO, so we ought not to be paying for their defense or anything of the kind. As it is, we're paying to fund their governmental expenses as well, and that's a fucking joke. What was really sad was watching this clown Zelensky in Washington last night telling members of both of our political parties, and to a person, they were wearing Ukraine flags on their lapels, that we weren't giving Ukraine enough money. I couldn't bear to watch the clown and his clapping seals in the stands as he berated them for their selfishness, and they just laughed like the fools that they were. Honestly, it was the sickest thing I've seen in a long time. The whole of Europe must be singing Joe Biden's praises since he's funding their war against Russia while they have very little if any, skin left in the game. It's regime change or bust for the Bidenistas in Russia if Zelensky and his Oligarchs have their way.

I think I mentioned recently that my neighbor broke her hip. This is the same neighbor whose driveway I clear every winter whenever a storm passes through. She's no spring chicken, so I do what I can. She also lives alone, so she has no one to lend a hand here and there in a pinch. She'll be coming home from rehab later this week, so that's good. She'll be happy to get back home and on familiar turf. She seems to have something of a support system based on the number of cars I see coming and going, but at the end of the day, she's on her own after friends and caregivers depart. She and I have been exchanging phone calls and e-mails about various things, and she informed me yesterday that she has an old friend coming to stay with her for a month or so while she gets back on her feet. The friend I'm referring to is no spring chicken either, but he'll do. We're here for them should any additional muscle be needed, so she can take that for what it's worth. And then, of course, there's the issue with her Jack Russell terrier. That's a story for another day.

I'm catching this Kari Lake trial in Arizona now and then, and I like the fact that her case against her opponent (Katie Hobbs) in the gubernatorial race in that state is still alive and well in the courts. Anyone with half a brain knows that Hobbs and her leftist buddies manning the voting stations in Maricopa County rigged the election. More to the point, they stole the election for Ms. Hobbs. The evidence seems overwhelming, and it involves machine tampering and something of a premeditated plan to discourage voters from casting their votes. Since it is a county-wide issue, the judge could decide to have another election if he decides that the evidence is both overwhelming and proof-positive that there were plans afoot by Ms. Lake's opponent to thwart the will of the people in Maricopa County. Did I mention that Katie Hobbs was in charge of the election she is now being charged with stealing? Maybe Ms. Lake's attorneys will succeed where Trump's attorney could not when it came to proving that the election was not on the up and up. Someone has to send a message to these election thieves that there will be a price to pay if and when they do these kinds of things. Our Democracy demands it.

I'm hearing that the January 6th Committee is releasing its report today. What a bunch of bloody fools. They already made their referrals to the Justice Department, which included four criminal referrals for Donald J Trump. They are so desperate to put Trump behind bars that they can't help but create things out of whole cloth when they don't otherwise have the goods on the man they'd love to see indicted. Trump will be indicted, but it will be for his failure to turn over documents that he took with him when he left the White House. Or, maybe more to the point, documents that his staff packed up as they departed the White House before Bumbles and his extended family of grifters moved in. That's all they've got. That's all they've ever had. But to listen to these fools on the left, you'd think they had enough to put Trump in jail for 20 years or more. The salivating is non-stop. It's wishful thinking, but it's always been wishful thinking. God forbid they allow a populist like Trump to take back the White House in 2024. Their wet dreams of a democrat presidency in perpetuity would go down in flames.

What's the deal with this Sam Bankman-Fried character? He was extradited to the United States recently after spending about two days in jail in the Bahamas. My guess is that he didn't care for his accommodations. This was after bribing the Bahamian officials to keep him out of the general population, or so I understand. Now that he's back in the states, a judge agreed to accept a bond secured by his parent's home in exchange for allowing him to remain free until trial. What you're not hearing is that his parent's home was purchased with funds stolen by Sam and his band of crypto thieves. How does that even come close to qualifying as an asset that he can use as collateral to stay out of jail? And don't believe this bullshit about his being confined to his parent's home. He'll be doing the talk show circuit soon enough to raise money to pay his lawyer. Why he needs a lawyer when you know he won't spend a day in jail when all is said and done is a question you'll not hear anyone asking, so I'm asking it.

Something else I'm not understanding is what the hell is going on with Tesla stock. It's not something I own, so my interest is casual at best, but when a stock goes from $437 dollars per share to $123 per share in the space of months, it makes you wonder. Does it have anything to do with the fact that Elon Musk bought Twitter? Elon was a darling of the left when he was fighting climate change. He could do no wrong when he was putting satellites in the lower atmosphere at his own expense so Ukrainians could better wage a defense against their Russian invaders. If you were a hard-core leftist driving a Prius around town with a "Bernie" sticker on your bumper, that no longer cut the mustard after Elon delivered his line of Teslas to showrooms around the country. Tesla stock went to the moon, and understandably so. Is Tesla stock now suffering the same fate as every other stock thanks to this inflationary bear market in which we find ourselves? Or, have the leftists decided to stop buying Teslas in an effort to impose their own version of cancel culture on the man who would be king? You know, the man who recently announced that his preferred pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci. Yeah, that guy. You decide.

The Republicans will be deciding who will be their Speaker of the House for the upcoming term on January 3rd, 2023. The current Minority Speaker, Kevin McCarthy, leads the pack, but I'm hearing that he doesn't have the required 218 votes to get over the finish line. I've never much cared for the guy myself. He's a bit too slick and a bit too milquetoast-ish for my tastes. My desire to see him get the boot hardened considerably the other day when I saw a photo of him at the gala in our nation's capital when Zelensky came to town. He was wearing Ukraine's colors on his lapel. I'm thinking to myself, here's this asshole bending over like the rest of the clapping seals in Washington proper for the grifter from Ukraine when he should be standing shoulder-to-shoulder with those of us who want to see our country disengage from the border dispute between Russia and Ukraine. I could never trust a guy like McCarthy to do the right thing by we conservatives. He's a rat politician like the rest of the rats in Washington so let's show him the door on the third of January. Just say fucking NO!

It's Christmas Eve here in the Northeast. The storm battering the west with extreme cold, wind, rain, and snow earlier in the week rolled through here yesterday, leaving nothing more than a bit of a dusting of snow and temperatures this morning in the teens. To think that it was fifty-four degrees, give or take, just yesterday afternoon. The missus and I drove down to Massachusetts yesterday to pick up the Ev man's car. We were turned around any number of times due to closed roads and impassable routes due to surging tidal waters. Cars on the highway and people, in general, seemed anxious and rushed based on the number of cars on the road and the speeds at which they were traveling. Everyone seemed desperate to get to wherever it was that they were going before the cold air moved in, turning the landscape into a skating rink. We know the drill. We've all been here before. We decided that taking Ev's car back to our place, and not his, would keep him off the roads just long enough for all of this weather-related stuff to pass. He was on board with that decision being the sensible lad that he is.

We finally got an inspection sticker on his car. It's been a three-month journey and a hellish one at that. If one more person had asked that I drive the car around another day or two until it was "ready" I think I would have lost my mind. This is what you're dealing with when you have catalytic converter problems. I probably would have saved myself considerable time and expense had I had the converters replaced straight away when the dealership correctly assessed the problem. All of this nonsense had me trying to figure out if the expense of replacing the converters was justified knowing that I might be able to pick up another car, used or new, using dollars that I was now having to expend on replacing the converters. The missus and I jointly decided that just replacing the converters was the best course of action, knowing that he would more than likely have this particular car for some years to come, given the relatively low mileage on the vehicle. I'm just happy not to have to deal with it anymore. That's got to be worth something.

On my way back from Massachusetts yesterday, I stopped by Common Roots on Ocean Boulevard to pick up the vegetable lasagna that we ordered for our Christmas dinner. I bought a nice loaf of Italian bread earlier in the week, and I'll likely make some nice garlic bread with it to have with our lasagna. I wasn't sure that Common Roots was even going to be open with roads in and around the store rendered impassable by the storm, but they were indeed open, so that was great. I didn't relish having to wait another day to pick up our meal and fighting the crowds who had their deliveries delayed by a day as well. I even ordered a nice latte while I was in the store picking up my order, and it was surprisingly good. I don't trust many people to make my lattes the way I like them, but I may have to now add Common Roots to my list of approved latte vendors. I also picked out a couple of muffins, a poppy seed muffin and a blueberry muffin, and a ripened banana while there. Who doesn't like having a banana with their latte?

My brother from another mother shipped me a dozen bagels from a renowned bagel shop in New York City. I think I mentioned that I walked into a local bagel store hereabouts the other day, and they wanted to charge me $3.50 for a half dozen bagels. I thought that was preposterous and shared that very same sentiment with my peeps from the Falls. My brother from another mother said something about buying me bagels for Christmas, making light of my comments as I thought he was. Let me just say that I wasn't expecting a delivery of bagels from NYC, so you can imagine my surprise when I saw the delivery. I might have preferred getting a nice cross-selection of various bagels, but they were all the same. All multi-colored and resembling a candy cane or maybe a wreath with a Christmas-colored theme. The missus's immediate reaction had something to do with not wanting to eat them due to what she perceived to be an infusion of food coloring, which gave the bagels their holiday-ish tint. Nonsense, I told her. I toasted one up and lathered it with butter and jam. Is there any other way to have your bagels? Maybe with cream cheese? Thanks, bro!

It's cold as a witch's tit out there this morning. This might be the coldest day of the year thus far, with temperatures in the teens. I added a couple of cakes of suet to my suet feeder for my woodpeckers and topped off my thistle feeder for good measure. I cracked the layer of ice that had formed on my bird bath overnight, and the birds are now busily availing themselves of everything that I put out. I have a good mind to go over and sweep my neighbor's deck of the light snow that fell overnight. She's coming home later today after being in rehab for a week to mend after breaking her hip a couple of weeks back. I can't in good conscience have her slipping and sliding her way to her front door. She might never forgive me were something bad to happen. Is it my responsibility to ensure that she makes her way without fear of harm or foul? Surely, it is not. Would I be held accountable should something bad happen to her? Who knows.

Holy cow! Today is Christmas! All I want to do is to go back to bed. I started my day by finding a hair in my blueberry muffin. I don't usually eat anything in the early morning, but I thought I might have a bit of a muffin this morning just because I can. I didn't want to throw out the baby with the bathwater, so I threw caution to the wind and polished off my muffin. It was a reasonably good muffin. I might have liked to have had more blueberries in the darn thing, but, that aside, it wasn't half bad. I think it was made with whole wheat or maybe bran since the muffin itself was dark-ish in color. I've had blueberry muffins from this place before, and I don't remember them tasting like this one. That's why I bought another one, truth be told. I was expecting more of the same. Have I somehow changed the trajectory of my day by doing something out of the ordinary, like consuming a muffin? I might be going back to bed soon, so that should tell you something. It's barely past the hour of seven in the morning, so if I'm going to do it, I should do it soon. At least I won't be going to bed hungry. Not on Christmas morning, for chrissakes.

I'm reading this morning that that we lost a couple more people overnight to what appear to be vaccine-related sudden deaths. One was a middle-aged ex-MMA star and the other was a 45-year old guy who worked in the media. When is the world going to wake up and start calling these deaths what they really are - Death by vaccine. There is literally no other reason that young people should be toppling over and falling dead in the prime of their life. I can only pray that I'm far enough out from getting the vaccine that I don't have to worry about dying a sudden death. I'm thinking, perhaps wrongly, that thesse deaths are happening after the recipient gets his or her seccond or third, or more, booster shots. Am I wrong about that? Where are the studies? Why are governments across the planet still insisting that their citizens get these lethal injections? Did you know that the illegal aliens crossing our borders unmolested are not required to get vaccinated? Let me see if I have this right. Our brothers and sisters, all Americans by birth, are dying after getting their shots but the illegal aliens being invited into our country by the Democrat party and their demented leader, Joe Biden, are not required to get the same deadly injections. Say what?

Just a quick update on the Kari Lake trial in Arizona, the judge in the case ruled against her. She plans to appeal, of course, but you have to wonder. How much Cartel cash did he take before rendering his decision? How many calls did he get from the White House or our Intelligence Agencies warning him that were he to find for Ms. Lake that he might live to regret his decision? I get it that judges are not wanting to interfere with the will of the people when it comes to overturning elections but it seemed to me that Kari Lake and her people had the receipts. Maybe that doesn't matter anymore. Maybe they didn't have what they thought was the proverbial smoking gun when push came to shove. Maybe the attorney's Ms. Lake hired didn't make enough of a compelling case to the judge. They'll get a chance to do it all over again when they plead their case to the Appeals Court. How successful they'll be is anyone's guess. Speaking of sudden deaths, maybe we don't need a crystal ball to see where this case is going. Unfortuanely, it's just going to embolden the election thieves that much more the next time around. The good guys, and gals, really need to figure this one out. Longer term, losing is not an option.
