It's Now Or Never

I am so sick and tired of everyone bending over to the LGBTQ lobby. You can't get away from it. I'm old enough to remember when rainbows conjured up visions of leprechauns and pots of gold. Not any more. It's all about being gay, loving and respecting people who choose alternative lifestyles no matter how perverted, demanding allegiance from people who find that particular lifestyle distasteful, outing and cancelling people who disagree with your lifestyle as racist and homophobic, and pushing the limits of societal acceptance by insisting upon inclusion in sports and other activities which have historically broken down along gender lines.

I've always been a "whatever floats your boat" kinda guy so don't have a horse in this race. If these or any other groups want to have their banners and parades then I'm with them in spirit. That's the American way. Maybe it's the cross currents of militarism and politicization of everything gay that has my knickers in a bunch. There's also a certain cultural dissonance when we start including trans types in sports that have historically not included trans types. There's an inherent unfairness in that selection process that should concern us all.

When you have an individual who was born a male who thinks he's a woman and wants to compete with women in sports events that will make or break them when and where scholarships or endorsements are concerned, that's a problem. This is where inclusivity, while a wild-eyed mantra for those on left, comes apart at the seams. Nobody wants these burly, muscled, and mustachioed fellas anywhere near the finish line in any competition but there they are. Nobody has the balls to stand up to these freaks and everyone is afraid to death of being cancelled for pushing back. It's now or never, folks.

I was in a restaurant the other day and caught sight of a bathroom door with signage that I needed a decoder ring to decipher. There were the usual male and female signs and then maybe some signage for those people who don't know what they are? Maybe it's more about who or what they identify with? Is there a third choice? Maybe it's non-binary? I need a new dictionary. Someone throw me a fucking lifeline! It looked like a single stall bathroom so unless you had some gang bangers wanting to throw a party in there you were probably good to go whoever and whatever the fuck you identify as. Wouldn't no sign have been just as effective?

Our country dodged a bullet yesterday. There was a vote in the Senate on a bill called S-1. It was a radical bill proposed by the democrats that would have essentially federalized our elections amongst other things. It was all about ensuring that democrats would hold power for the next hundred years so what's not to like if you were one of the 50 democrats who all voted for the bill. Thankfully, all 50 republicans voted against it recognizing as they did what a train wreck it would be for our nation. You don't see a lot of solidarity when it comes to republicans voting but they were unanimous in their dissent on this bill and thank the baby Jesus for that.

So devastating was their defeat (they needed 60 votes) that the left was left seething. They were experiencing yet another piece of legislation that was going down in flames. I spent the evening sipping liberal tears as I flipped back and forth between television stations watching as I was the implosion on the left. This is why the radical left voted for Joe Biden and they expected him to come through but the American people had something else in mind. His failure to deliver on key promises will ensure that the republicans take back the house in 2022 and that will essentially be game-over for their radical agenda.

I've got an eye on the New York City mayoral primary that wrapped up last night with Adams in the lead. New York City has long been the crown jewel of our nations cities but has been beleaguered in the past few years under the "management" of democratic (socialist) Mayor, Bill DeBlasio. Crime rates have been out of control, criminals have not been held to account for their crimes, and rates of murder, etc., have skyrocketed under DeBlasio's "leadership." You can't pick up a newspaper these days without reading about someone being pistol-whipped, car-jacked, sucker-punched, pushed in front of a train, you name it, it's that bad. And this is all before the sun goes down.

Forget New York City. Our country is ready to see the Big Apple return from the smoldering mess that it has become over the past few years. This Adams fella, an ex-cop and a democrat, is promising to restore law and order to the city. That's a good start. No one wants to even go into the city these days so that may change if Adams follows through on his promises. Its a forgone conclusion that a democrat will win the final election since the city is 8-1 democrat. Now, he just needs to prevail as they work their way through the results of the rank choice voting process over the next few weeks. Yang is out. Maya is in 2nd place and a full blown socialist so let's keep our fingers crossed that she doesn't somehow pull a rabbit out of the hat and win this thing.

Whoever thought that rank choice voting was a good idea? Where did this come from? An election that takes two weeks or more before you find out who's won the damn thing is an abomination. It is not at all what our founding fathers had in mind when they talked about these sorts of things. In fact, it's how Biden and his minions in the democrat party managed to steal the election from Trump in 2020. Trump won on election night only to have boatloads of Biden ballots show up in the early morning hours of the following day in democrat strongholds across several key states allowing Biden to declare victory.

The longer it takes to decide an election, the better the chances are that the democrat will emerge the victor. They've somehow managed to perfect the steal with the help of this, that, and the other officials involved in the process. I just don't know how you stop the democrats from loading up trucks in the dark of night with illegal ballots or stuffing ballot boxes in an attempt to sway an election just to get or keep their peeps in power. Maybe, now that they've passed legislation providing what amounts to a basic standard income to families with children who make less than $150k, they won't need to stuff ballot boxes or manufacture fake ballots any more. Most people will always vote for the guy or gal handing out the big bucks.

I popped over to see Mrs G yesterday and set up a new printer for her. The old one was a wireless printer that was getting a little long in the tooth and it wasn't cooperating with the new wifi system installed by her facility in the last week. I found her a new printer on Amazon and it was priced at a reasonable $119 including ink and a USB cable. Once unpacked, it was pretty flimsy and it didn't have nearly the heft of the old printer it was replacing. Not sure why I associate heft with quality but her new one lacked heft in spades so there's that. It was easy to set up and it did a pretty good job printing so I think Mrs G will be happy with her new purchase.

For the longest time, Mrs G has been retrieving her e-mail from the web site hosting her e-mail. We're talking G-mail here, not to be confused with Mrs G's e-mail. You'd think Google would have a better site for their e-mail but, alas, it's a piece of shit. It's got functionality up the fucking wazoo but it ain't pretty to look at and finding the right levers, buttons, and whatever to push when you need to make a change just isn't that easy. It's especially not easy for a 90-year old who isn't handy with such things to begin with.

My plan was to set up her e-mail in the Mail application on her Mac and let her experience what a pretty good mail application has to offer. I think I'd forgotten that I set that up for her a long while back so when I went to take care of thing I noticed that she had thousands of e-mails already in her in-box. Good stuff. That was one less thing to do while there. So, I sat her down and walked her through things until she seemed satisfied that she could manage on her own. Whether she remembers a thing I showed her a day later is another matter. It's one of those "you can lead a horse to water" deals so we'll have to wait and see.

I gave the Ev man a lift to his eye doctor yesterday for his annual check-up. It was one of those visits where you have your eyes dilated so Ev seemed pretty okay with not having to drive himself to the appointment. He is usually not open to having us do something that he can't do for himself. That told me a lot about what his thinking was when it came to getting to and from his home for this appointment. I ran a couple of errands while I waited for him and I ended up spending maybe a half hour sitting in the car in the parking lot outside the building that houses his doctors office. I was happy to do it.

I was going to say something to him about his returning the favor someday but didn't want to put any pressure on him to do just that. He's got enough on his plate these days so I don't need to go adding to that list. Did I mention that he got called up for jury duty? We all know that's not happening. Now, we just need to figure out how we make that go away. I suggested Ev take that up with his person and that is precisely what he did. His take-aways following that discussion were a little confusing to say the least but it seems like it's on the fast track to resolution. A note of confirmation one way or the other would be nice to have in hand. Everything in good time.

I stopped at Jersey Mike's in Exeter to grab a sub on the way home after taking care of Mrs G's computer stuff. Ev has been singing their praises since their grand opening a couple of week's back. I've never asked him what kind of sub that he found to his liking but thought I'd give it a try anyway. It was lunchtime when I stopped by so that wasn't good. I don't mind standing in line so it wasn't a big deal even though the line extended nearly out the door when I arrived. It gave me time to take a good look at the menu and to take in the vibe of the joint. By the time I got to the counter, maybe some fifteen minutes after I walked in, I knew precisely what I wanted.

With that meal now in the rear view mirror some 24 hours later, I'm left with a couple of impressions. One, the tuna was not white albacore. Not even close. Nancy thought it had more dark meat and I have to agree with her. The darker meat of the tuna is oily and it just doesn't have the pizzazz of the white tuna. It's cheap and it tastes cheap if you get my drift. In other words, I've had better. We won't be getting a tuna sub again there any time soon. Their club-sub, on the other hand, was quite good. The handful of thinly sliced or maybe shredded lettuce was a nice addition to the sub despite my not being a big fan of having lettuce on any sandwich.

I don't think there was anything I wanted to get done yesterday that I didn't get done. I was telling the missus that very thing last night. I even squeezed in a bike ride later in the afternoon which always makes me a happy camper. It was perfect weather for a ride with temperatures in the 70's and almost zero humidity. I could feel the adrenaline pumping before I got out of my driveway and that always bodes well. Traffic was likely to be light and cars along the boulevard were likely to be fewer if not non-existent now that the beaches had emptied out after a long and busy summer day. All of that was true in hindsight so all is well that ends well.

Trump is having a rally tomorrow night in Ohio. It will be his first since leaving the White House in January. To say that his followers have been chomping at the bit to get his comeback started is an understatement. I'm not sure he'll be announcing his run for 2024 but if he so much as hints at it that would be great. Let's get this fucking party started! I don't know that his being re-elected is going to be a cake walk or anything of the sort since all of the negative forces (media, etc) that allowed Biden to steal the election in 2020 are still in place. He's got some work to do, that's for sure. I will say, though, Biden's presidency has been a disaster so that can only help Trump.

It's important to keep in mind that most of the people who voted for Trump in 2020 believe that Biden stole the election from him. Stealing elections is the kind of stuff third world banana republics are made of so don't be surprised to see people coming out of the woodwork to throw the Biden-ista's out of office lock, stock, and barrel. If Trump does this right he'll have the mandate he needs to rip out everything Biden put in within thirty days of taking the oath. We Americans take our revenge at the ballot box and not in the streets and gallows that other country's erect at the drop of a hat when skullduggery is alleged or suspected.

Lastly, I hope I'm not the only one who is outraged at the democrats in New York who suspended Rudy Giuliani's law license for "telling untruths" about how the democrats stole the election from Trump in 2020. This is what tyrannical governments do. They go after their political opponents hammer and tong and jail them if they can. Rudy brought down the five families of the mob when he was a federal prosecutor and now he has to deal with these petty two-bit criminals posing as Attorney General's in the State of New York.

This is an overt threat by the establishment to anyone looking to represent Trump that you will be destroyed and possibly put in jail if you lend an assist to Donald J Trump. They will not allow Trump to return to the presidency if they have any say in the matter. I'm hearing that an indictment may be brought against a high level employee in the Trump organization this coming week. Let me be clear. This is nothing more than an attempt to get someone, anyone, to turn government's witness against Trump. There's only one problem. Trump is not now and never was involved in any criminal activity. That won't stop them from trying. This is unacceptable.
